Born Again?
Jesus said, "Except ye be born again, ye shall not see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3)
Most people truly believe that they will go to heaven when they die, but it is hard to find a true consensus on how a person will be granted access. Clearly the major religions of the world have vastly different ideas on what God requires.Fortunately, God left us clear instructions in the Bible. God tells us that we must first realize that we are born spiritually dead and set apart from God (Ephesians 2:1). God also explains that salvation is all a work of the grace of God and that we appropriate it by faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
As we come to grips with the fact that salvation is all a work of God and not of self, we must then repent of our sin and invite Christ to save us (Romans 10:9).
